Lancaster

I found out that I pronounce Lancaster incorrectly. The locals say that it is pronounced "Len-kester" which the accent on the second syllable. I am horrible at saying this so I just go with what I know and call it Lancaster.

This is me in the elevator. I'm in my cold gear so I can brave the cold night and find some food. There are several chain restaurants near my hotel so I decided to go to Lone Star. I want to say it is very much like a Texas Road House kind of restaurant.

I got a slab of ribs and a sweet potato with cinnamon and butter. It was one of the quietest moments in a restaurant for me. There were probably more employees there than patrons. The meal was ok.
Today, I woke up and it was -3 degrees outside. Yes, -3 degrees. No snow falling but just the sun. I found out later in the day that sunny days when it snows is not good because that means ice. The streets were crazy. Too many icy areas. Good thing I have a truck because I could only imagine that if I had an economy car, I would have been all over the road.
The servicing agent out here met me at my hotel and we went to Bob Evans to eat food. The restaurant is just like I thought it would be. It's just another restaurant that serves breakfast food like Denny's, IHOP, etc...
My new friend and I have a lot of things in common. We are both from California. We both lived in Sacramento. We both lived in Columbus. What is really a trip is that we were there at the same times! I told him that I used to be in TV and he said that he actually remembers seeing me reporting on TV! He used to work for corporate for a few years.
Now he is a RSC in Ohio. Here he is helping out one of the employees we saw today. We worked from 9 am to about 8 pm. We had a full day. It was mostly presentations but we did write some business. Tomorrow we wrap things up.

This is me in my hotel room. I love my heater.

So I brave the evening chill again and head out to find food. I drove around and found an ATM as well as a Starbucks! This is the first Starbucks I've seen here in Ohio. I've looked and finally found one. This picture above is me holding snow. I was waiting for my truck to heat up. It was a stupid idea because then my hand became really cold.

Chinese buffet. No. Fast food. No. An empty Mexican restaurant? No. Tonight, I went to Red Lobster. The last time I had Red Lobster was in Columbus, GA. Not one of my favorite restaurants to go eat at but it was probably my best choice. Tonight I ate healthy. I had grilled and lightly seasoned tilapia with broccoli and a salad. It was a light dinner compared to last night's.
There's suppose to be snow tonight. About 2 inches. I am debating whether to leave tonight and stay in Columbus, OH or just kick it here in Lancaster one more night since I already have a room. My flight leaves on Saturday morning.
I found out that I'm allergic to Patene shampoo. I tried some at one of the hotels on this trip and I broke out.
It's a good thing this trip is almost over. I am needing to do laundry.
