My Aflac buddy

I met my good friend from GA in Las Vegas this past weekend for the big UFC fight. He has been an Aflac agent for close to 5 years and this year was his biggest year ever. In 2007, he has written close to $240,000 in premium! He loves what he does and he is making things happen in his career. (Note the hat, I'm representing Aflac in Vegas!)

Happy New Year!

Farewell 2007, Hello 2008

Today was my last day in the office this year. I actually wrapped up a bunch of loose ends which was excellent. I also prepped for 2008. This promotion to DSC is exciting. I'm not really interested in the higher rank or the fancier title. I'm very focused on being in the top tier of DSCs in the State. I had a great model of a DSC with Josh, so I'll be very happy if I can either hang with my soon-to-be former district or surpass my soon-to-be former district.

My district will be called: Wild Wild West.

"My district will be called the Wild Wild West because we are in the wide frontier of California. If you listen closely, you can hear the cities holler, “There’s gold in them hills!” The area that we work in is a gold mine for Aflac business. Many parts are untapped and we will be the district that unearths the “golden nuggets” we call new groups. The opportunity is great here and we expect to be in the top 5 districts in the State. Our goal is to be the number one district in the State for the categories of AP, MPI, and recruiting. " Part of my 2008 Business Plan.

I am going to bring big change to the office. This I am excited about. I believe I can help raise everyone's game.

I caught Krista again, but a moment too late. She is the only person I know of that considers pickles a great snack and a refreshing beverage! Yes, she drinks the juice. Wow!

I was the last to leave the office tonight. I sat through the conference call as well as patiently waited for the last fax to come in for me.
Congratulations to my region! Many of you surpassed your goals and got rewarded with prizes and cash!
See you Sac-town for the kickoff! Happy New Year!

The Xmas Tree On The Tower!

My buddy took a picture of the tower last week. Not the greatest picture but you can see the tree! Merry Christmas!

This is me at Ella's in the City. We had a coordinator/leader meeting on Thursday morning. Early Thursday morning.

On Friday, I had some time to kill between appointments and I chilled on a corner of Market Street.

Gotcha!

Never ever ever think that you will escape the camera lens of Brent's cell phone camera! This is Krista, our office administrator! Welcome to the office!

Janice's pictures from the trip

This is me at the Charlotte airport right when I picked up Janice.

The changing of the leaves on the trees is really pretty.

Beautiful huh?

We stopped at a gas station near Galax, VA and they were selling hams by the door!

As well as Anti-monkey butt powder!

The trip from Charlotte to Beckley took about 3 1/2 - 4 hours. This is the shot of our hotel lobby. It was great to arrive there after the long drive.

Josh had an "I enrolled sticker" on his head. He didn't take it off because it would have taken more hair off his head. You can see some of the remnants of the sticker there.

Ted was the pilot on the road.

Brent was the designated sleeper.

Josh was the designated flirt.

On the morning of our trip to Summersville, we stopped by to check out the New Gourge River Bridge.

Summersville

This is downtown Summersville. We had to kill some time here while we tried to get Janice fingerprinted here for her FL license.

This bank was converted into a sweet cafe. We ate here and it had great food.

I dare you to waive!

This is on one of the walls at the Sheriff's Department. It had badges from all around.

We walked by a house that had a river literally run right under the house!

We came back to the cafe to see if we could get information about Janice's FL license. The cafe was warm and it was a perfect place to doze off.

We left Josh here in Summersville while we headed to Charleston to go to the State's office for fingerprinting. Josh finished the enrollment and then headed down to Charlotte to head home. We took the scenic long route and got lost but believe it or not, the lady there stayed there late just for us and we had Janice fingerprinted! It was a great feeling to accomplish this task after so much effort.
This is a picture a few days earlier when I had to return my rental car in Charleston. This is the airport.
