The Day of the Big Game

This is Ted before the game. This is a windbreaker he bought.

We went to a local church to park, to tailgate, and to get a ride to the game. We found out about the church from the SSC here. The church offers a great deal. This is a shot of the tailgating in the parking lot before the game.

Janice is taking pictures too and when we come back home, she'll give me her pictures to post.

We had tickets on the 20 yard line. This is a shot of the Mountaineers getting hyped before the game.

Here's the marching band get into a formation that looked like an outline of the State.

There was no empty seat in the house. 60,000! I was shoulder to shoulder with the two people I sat in between.

It was a sad night. WV loses to Pitt, 13-9. They are the sixth #2 team this year to lose to an unranked opponent. They lose their bid to the national championship.

We learned the Let's Go Mountaineer chant.

We learned the spirit fingers chant for first down.

We even sported the WV gear but our team lost.

If they would have won, they have a tradition to burn couches! Bummer.

Tomorrow I head up to Wheeling. Ted goes down to Huntingdon. Janice goes down to Saltsville.

Ted is snoring now. I must try to go to bed. It's late.
