On Thursday night at the DSC Forum, they had a hypnotist come in to entertain. I haven't laughed out loud so much in a long long time. The stuff our fellow DSC's were doing were absolutely hilarious. Everyone in the audience was asked to participate in seeing if any of us were good candidates for hypnosis. The guy did one hypnosis exercise and unfortunately, Guillermo and I didn't pass. Bummer. However, from our office, we had two representatives: Marie and Josh. From our state, we had Amy, Stephanie, and Sally. The picture above is everyone in their trance.
I want to say that this picture was when everyone on stage was thinking there were at a funny movie with friends or they were on a rollercoaster.
This is Marie at the movies. The guy next to her, Quentin, was the star of the night. He danced around like a runway model, he was a three-year old with his baby, and he was James Bond.
Here's another large group shot of people in a trance.
This is a picture when they were told they were cold and had to get cozy with their neighbor to keep warm. Let me list off several good things about the DSC Forum. It was good to see and meet some of the successful DSC's outside of our State. There are a lot of them. Another thing I enjoyed was to hear some of the SSC's share their expertise. My favorite was Jim's talk on day 2 about accountability. I also appreciated the time away from the office and field because I've been feeling like I needed a time to regroup my thoughts and breathe!
The highlight of the forum was my time spent with Guillermo. What was suppose to be a 1/2 hour chat, went on for at least 1 hour. It was good to brainstorm with him and set up some accountability with him. We've got some great ideas to be the biggest districts in our state.
Guillermo...I hope you can envision what you want on these barren walls. I can.
