A Loooonnngg Day

I had to close my eyes this morning because I was just so tired. They were bloodshot. My day started on Friday morning around 6 am. My day ended at 1:15 am on Saturday. I stayed with Francine to provide support with the noc-shift at one of my group's locations. She wrote 3 policies so it was well worth it.

We had a lull of 2 1/2 hours. We were just hanging out in their dining room vegging. This is Francine checking out that calfa soft program.

Earlier in the day I went to San Leandro to give away one of the TV's! This is Fel. She won the TV! So let me tell you the story because it is a good one.
I got there and they were doing karaoke. One of the employees asked me to sing and I said "no" because I was there on business. It seemed to me that every employee had to go up there and sing a song for the clients. It was pretty cool. I heard songs from Moon River to a Brittany Spears' song which I don't know the title of.
So I meet the associate director there and we are going to do the drawing in front of everyone in the living room area where they are doing karaoke. The executive director gave me a bag to put all of the employee info sheets in so we could mix them up. We then had one client pick the name of the winner. She came up and the first thing she pulled out of the bag was a piece of popcorn! How that popcorn got in there, I haven't got the slightest clue! I told her to pick again because there was no one's name on the piece of popcorn. So she went back into the bag and picked two sheets. I told her to pick one of them and Fel's was the one! Fel was in the room and when the associate director called her name, she ran up and couldn't believe that she won. She had to look at the sheet of paper to see her name to believe it! She said that she was planning to buy her father a TV and how appropriate that she won a TV on Friday! A few people teased her and asked her if she was going to keep the new TV and give her father the old TV! I think she was going to buy him a new TV anyways.
I was going to sneak out but I got caught and then volunteered to do karaoke. I wanted to sing an older song to appeal to my crowd. I sang a do-wop song by Neil Sedaka called "Earth Angel." The key was too high for me but I managed to make it through without totally embarassing myself.
I had a good feeling leaving that location. I felt like we helped them with Aflac, we built great rapport with the employees, and we made the enrollment process fun and nothing like anything they have experienced before.

Here's the team in San Jose before the start of the enrollment. In the front is another TV I am giving away. I'm planning to give away 5 32" LCD HDTV's! As you can see, my big duck is guarding the TV.

Guillermo, Marie, and Jason filling out PDA's and SRA's.

I had to get some action pictures of my team. What is really great when you work with other teammates is that you get to watch and hear how they present and educate. Everyone's style is different. One of the commonalities was that my teammates are animated and use hand gestures. I've got evidence. Here's Guillermo! It looks like he is explaining how to catch a football.

Here's Jason. It looks like he is explaining how big the fish that got away was!

Here's Marie. It looks like she is talking about how Palmolive dish soap keeps her hands soft!
I thought that our time together working as a team was very helpful for me as well as my teammates.

Here's another picture of Marie in action. I like my cell phone camera. People don't know when I am taking a picture of them!

Jason doesn't like my card analogy. Jason...I don't care! hehe So here's another one for ya!
I can say that my week felt like playing with "big slick" in poker. I felt like I had a strong hand this week and that I was going to win. I did win because this week I wrote over $12K but I only personally wrote just 1 policy! All the rest of it were splits that I earned passively from other agent's business. It's a great feeling. I almost feel guilty. Nah. Not that guilty!

New experience this year: I have never bought 5 TV's in one day. I have never bought 5 TV's in my entire life! I could barely fit one of the TV's in the backseat of my car.
