You Rock Guillermo!
Guillermo hit his fireball award this week! That is awesome! Great job. I had just a few hours to spare before I qualified for my award. For you, you qualified with about 4 days to spare. Awesome!
I also wanted to commend you on a testimonial you received recently! Awesome. I've copied this to let everyone in our office and our visitors know that you are a great agent!
"American Family Life Assurance Company of Columbus (Aflac)
Thank you Guillermo for your prompt follow-up.
I can only tell you that I am so surprised at your level of professionalism, it was a
pleasure to do business with you. I believe in letting people know when they are
exceptional and you sir are very much the exception to the rule in business. I noticed
that your demeanor was the same for your co-workers as it was for me, very much the
gentleman and the perfect reflection of what every company wants. I felt very much at
ease and I knew you would answer any questions for me without me having to feel
stupid about asking.
I have to tell you that if I wasn’t sold on Aflac before, I am now. It is not very often that a
person comes across an insurance agent such as yourself, and I will bet that your
coworkers love to have you around. You made a very tedious process actually very
pleasant for myself and all the others you helped at the YW.
I am sure that I will add the different options that I didn’t get yet that we talked about in
the very near future. As the Director of Administration of the YWCA of Silicon Valley, I
have direct input into what our employees think about Aflac, and I can assure you that I
will help them understand the importance of what your company can do for them.
You so impressed me that I want you to know that I will keep your card. I am giving your
card to my fiancée, he owns a concrete company with about 10 employees and also
family members, I’m sure he will be very interested in Aflac.
I urge you to share this email with your superiors. I am sure I am one of many that feel
this way after doing business with you, most people just don’t take the time to thank you.
Thank you,
Robyn Peterson"

Recent MSN Money article on Catastrophic Coverage
I saw this on MSN and thought it would be very helpful having an outside source to show the value of AFLAC.
"Health insurance: Consider catastrophic coverage
Even if you're young and healthy, health coverage is a must-have. One accident or illness could wipe out everything you have or land you in bankruptcy court."
http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/Insurance/AssessYourNeeds/
4waysToProtectYourFinancialFreedom.aspx
I couldn't figure out how to make this a link to click on. So if you want to read the article, you can copy the address above and use it to find the webpage. I had to put it on two lines, so when you copy it and a space shows up between "/" and "4ways", delete the space and you are good to go. I'll also print out this article so we have a hard copy in the office.

You Rock Ben!
I wish more people were in the office today when Ben made his second call of the day.
All of you would have been happy that Ben made an appointment, but you would even be happier when he addressing all the objections the lady had and then some. That was the exciting part. He addressed and overcame and got the appointment.
We need to mention that to Regina when she gets back to the office. She would be proud of him.

Teamwork Lesson from Fowl
We are the duck but our fine feather friends have a great lesson to teach. I saw this online and have heard this example many times. I thought it would be appropriate to encourage us ducks!
A FEW LESSONS ABOUT TEAMWORK
From Our Friends, The Geese
Fact 1: As each goose flaps its wings, it creates an "uplift" for the birds that follow. By flying in a "V" formation, the whole flock adds 71% greater flying range than if each bird flew alone.
Lesson: People who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going quicker and easier because they are traveling on the thrust of one another.
Fact 2: When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of flying alone. It quickly moves back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird immediately in front of it.
Lesson: If we have as much sense as a goose, we stay in formation with those headed where we want to go. We are willing to accept their help and give our help to others.
Fact 3: When the lead goose tires, it rotates back into the formation and another goose flies to the point position.
Lesson: It pays to take turns doing the hard tasks and sharing leadership. As with geese, people are interdependent on each other's skills, capabilities and unique arrangements of gifts, talents, and resources.
Fact 4: The geese flying in formation honk to encourage those up front to keep going!
Lesson: We need to make sure our honking is encouraging. In groups where there is encouragement, the production is much greater. The power of encouragement, which is to listen to one's own heart or core values, and to listen to the core values of others, is the quality of honking we seek.
Fact 5: When a goose gets sick, wounded or shot down, two geese drop out of formation and follow it down to help protect it. They stay with it until it dies or is able to fly again. Then, they launch out with another formation of geese and try to catch up with the flock.
Lesson: If we have as much sense as geese, we will stand by each other in difficult times as well as when we are strong.

Associates gone wild...
...well, maybe not wild. But here are some pictures of Richard, Aman, and Brent at the Niners' last preseason game. It was a good time to hang out outside of the office.
Richard won the tickets off the radio. He won the tickets to walk on the field, the pregame tailgate party, and tickets to the game. Here's Richard after the game. He came to the game without a jacket. However, he left the game with a jacket. Ask him how he got the jacket.
Here's Aman after the game. I told him to get in front of the cheerleaders and I would take a picture of him.
Here I am before the game as Aman and I walked on the field. I couldn't find my Niners hat and gear so I had to wear a red shirt and hat and my Giants jacket.
The Niners won the game but I couldn't tell you the score. It's preseason!
