SAN MATEO, Calif. - Richard a.k.a. "Lion-o" proved in Week 1 that he is the associate to beat as he ran away from the pack with an amazing 12-appointment week.
"You could definitely see fire in his eyes," said fellow associate Brent 'BT Express', "He wanted to set the pace and he pushed everyone to increase their activity. I tip my hat to (Richard) because he showed great leadership. A leader inspires you to overachieve. His nickname 'Lion-O' is fitting for him because 'Lion-O' was the fearless leader of the Thundercats. This week, Richard was our fearless leader."
Richard started out strong, Monday morning, by being the first associate to win the reward of a 3-appointment donut. He was in a tight battle with "Big" Ben for the coveted Miller trophy.
"I was thinking about that donut all morning," 'Big' Ben said. "When I was at the 2-appointment mark and had to tell myself to push harder for that 3-appointment donut. The chocolate donut is my favorite."
The trophy changed hands several times on Monday between Ben and Richard. They both finished with 7 appointments on Monday, but Richard's hard work during the week pushed his total to 12 by the end of the week.
There was a two-way tie for second place. "Big" Ben and "Fast" Eddie set an impressive 7 appointments. In the stretch run on Friday afternoon, Eddie set 3 appointments. Impressive!
Congratulations to Richard "Lion-O" for his week 1 win.
Can Rick go for a two-week winning streak? "Appointment Queen" Irene was not in the office much this week because she was opening many acocunts in the field. She is a very strong competitor in the game of appointments. Irene should give Richard and others a run for the prize.

I must first thank God, then my family and friends for their support and encouragement. That includes my co-workers, most definitely!
For the record, Big Ben won the first donut.
Best wishes to all the competitors next week.
This blog is great! Thank you, Brent!!! : )
