Abstract Bowling Night 7.24.07

Team Abstract went two-for-two this week with fun events. Last night it was the Giants game. Tonight it was bowling to celebrate our 2nd quarter FAME. Many team members were not able to make it tonight but we had fun nonetheless.

Here's Josh's daughter doing something with the score. Was she changing scores?

Here's Michael eating his nachos. Note: This is the first time I've EVER seen him in clothing that is not a black suit! Seriously.

Michael with the nice follow-through.

Michael eyeing the ball as it rolls down the lane.

She was the probably the best bowler of the night.

Talk about picture-perfect form!

Here's an abstract shot of me!

It looks like a strike...

Strike baby!

We put up the bumpers in the second game and Michael was doing these crazy bumper shot strikes and spares!

Maddy watching her masterpiece throw...

knocking down all the pins! X

This is another piece of abstract bowling. As you can see there are two balls on the lane!

We had a fun night at Serra Bowl.
The Abstract Cup Winner: Josh with the high score of the night of 146. I rolled a 145 in the first game and Josh came back in the last game of the night in the last frame to tie me and then take the 1-pin lead with his last throw of the night. It was kind of dramatic...much more dramatic than the Giants game last night!
We are already thinking of how we are going to celebrate for our 3rd quarter FAME. Poker? Billiards? Duck, duck, goose?

How Suite It Is To Be In The Suite

Many of us from our office got a chance to go to the Giants/Braves game and stay in the suite! Food, drinks, and a great view...what more can you ask? Well, it would have been nice if Barry hit a home run or if the Giants won, but no luck for us tonight.

Josh's daughter gets her first major league baseball!

Here's the Braves pitching coach, Roger McDowell, signing her baseball. She was the only one of us that got a chance to get a ball.

Here's Jason waiting down the right field line

Here's Josh and his daughter looking for another opportunity.

Jason and I got skunked in right field so we walked around to left field. It didn't help. One ball was hit to the right of me but I wasn't paying attention. At least we got cool pictures.

A view from the suite!

This is Barry up at bat with runners on first and second. I want to say that he walked at this at bat.

After a night at the ballpark, we ride home on the express train. I fell asleep on the train.
For the record, I got home at 10:55. My brother who left the ballpark at the same time but drove, got home at 11:14 pm. He owes me a pizza.
In other news...
Ted, Josh, and I bought our DSC Forum plane tixs. Round trip for $108! Wow! My goal at the DSC Forum is to win at least my plane ticket money.
Diana is on a hot streak right now. She just hit her super fast start two weeks ago. Now she's just about $2K away from her next award...fireball!
Jason is only one in our office to go on the Triple Crown trip! He leaves later this week.

Very cool pictures from Janice's trip to Peru!

Ducky in Machu Picchu!

"In the Sacred Valley of Peru (one hour from Cusco), there lives a 10 yearold Inca girl named Jovanna. Everyday after school, she comes to the plazaat the hotel to help her mother to sell there handmade goods. She is veryastute and smart, but the sad reality of her life is that she will be inschool only one more year and then she will work full-time selling goodswith her mother...just like her grandmother and her mother beforethat...well before I left, I told her Ducky needed a home and she wasthrilled...I think it was love at first site:)"

I'm still here!

This past weekend I decided to do something that is not covered by our accident plan...skydiving from 18,000 ft. It was awesome! My freefall from the plane lasted about 1 minute. We were traveling at 120 mph!

The Monterey Bay, the Salinas Valley, and the Pacific Ocean were beautiful from way up there! My parachute ride down to the ground lasted about 5 minutes.

I'm ready for a great 3rd quarter...I hope you are too.
