Week 3: Battle for the Prize

Ray "Sonic" is no longer a rookie in the appointment game. Today, he starts out with 3 appointments...impressing everyone in the office! He finished Monday with 7 appointments! Shall we call him Supersonic? You rock Ray!

At the end of the day, "Appointment Queen" Irene had the coveted Miller trophy by tallying up 7 appointments. (The office rule is that if two or more people have the same number of appointments, the person who made the last appointment gets the trophy.) You rock Irene!

Where is Richard "Lion-O"? He is sitting in third place with 6 appointments. Will his 2-week appointment domination come to an end or will he surpass his previous record high of 15 appointments for his third win? If you know Richard, he won't bow out without a fight. Stay tuned to find out!

In other news, "Big" Ben broke the 1-minute barrier for the preclose/close/define enrollment/and the process portion of the fast-start script. He did it in a remarkable :57 with Richard, Ray, and Brent as witnesses. You rock Ben!

Drop and give me 15 pushups!

This picture was taken about a month ago. Aman "Panthr-O" and Richard "Lion-O" are doing 15 pushups after Brent made an appointment. Just one of the fun contests we have to spur each other on in making appointments.

Week 2: Richard with the Repeat

"Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals." Anonymous

He got 185 "no's"...but he got 15 "yes's!" With a passion to create more activity, Richard "Lion-O" kept his focus, ignored the rejections, and won week 2's Miller Award. He tallied up an amazing 15 appointments. This is Richard's second trophy after winning last week's challenge with 12 appointments.

"He's been really dedicated to the challenge that Eric "Raw Dawg" gave at the last C.I.T. meeting," Brent said. "I saw him make calls after 6 p.m. I call that dedication."

Richard racked up 205 calls for week 2.

Welcome to the Giants newcomers Ray "Sonic" and Donna. Ray racked up 3 appointments while Donna was great with 8!

Congratulations to Richard for being the pace-setter for appointments and calls! You rock!

Wednesday in the office

What's going on in the office while the coordinators are in a meeting?

This afternoon, it was Jason, Richard, Ben, and me in the office. Richard was "en fuego" on the phones today. He jumped his total of appointments to an amazing 14! Great job dude! In the foreground, the prized Miller award! Richard took the lead and the trophy from Jason today. Jason was leading in appointments with 9.

Jason was in a great mood because he was writing today! He wrote alot! He is very very close to getting his fireball award! You rock my friend!

Here is Ben squeezing the life out of the poor lil stress duck. Ben did a great job being persistent on the phones and nailing the last part of the fast start script today.

As you can see, big brother duck gets revenge for his lil brother by attacking Jason's foot.

Richard gets a high-five from Ben as he chalks up another appointment!

We are keeping it fun. Richard is Lion-O. Aman is Panthro.

Here's part of Team Abstract's totals for the week so far.

We're raising the bar in activity and making it fun in the process! Go Giants!

Hall of Fame

I wanted to create a fun list of office records. Hopefully this will be a fun way to increase our activity. See if you can get your name on our Hall of Fame.

For the records that require you to be timed...I will have a stopwatch at my desk. You will need someone from the office to keep time for you. Today, Regina did time tests for Team Abstract on the preclose & close. It was a really helpful exercise.

If you can think of any records that would be fun to put in our Hall of Fame, let me know by leaving a comment.

(Rules: You are on the honor code. No fake submissions for the Hall of Fame.)

Week 1: Richard...You Rock!

Week 1 winner: Richard poses with his prized Miller award
"Leadership is the special quality which enables people to stand up and pull the rest of us over the horizon." James L. Fisher

SAN MATEO, Calif. - Richard a.k.a. "Lion-o" proved in Week 1 that he is the associate to beat as he ran away from the pack with an amazing 12-appointment week.

"You could definitely see fire in his eyes," said fellow associate Brent 'BT Express', "He wanted to set the pace and he pushed everyone to increase their activity. I tip my hat to (Richard) because he showed great leadership. A leader inspires you to overachieve. His nickname 'Lion-O' is fitting for him because 'Lion-O' was the fearless leader of the Thundercats. This week, Richard was our fearless leader."

Richard started out strong, Monday morning, by being the first associate to win the reward of a 3-appointment donut. He was in a tight battle with "Big" Ben for the coveted Miller trophy.

"I was thinking about that donut all morning," 'Big' Ben said. "When I was at the 2-appointment mark and had to tell myself to push harder for that 3-appointment donut. The chocolate donut is my favorite."

The trophy changed hands several times on Monday between Ben and Richard. They both finished with 7 appointments on Monday, but Richard's hard work during the week pushed his total to 12 by the end of the week.

There was a two-way tie for second place. "Big" Ben and "Fast" Eddie set an impressive 7 appointments. In the stretch run on Friday afternoon, Eddie set 3 appointments. Impressive!

Congratulations to Richard "Lion-O" for his week 1 win.

Can Rick go for a two-week winning streak? "Appointment Queen" Irene was not in the office much this week because she was opening many acocunts in the field. She is a very strong competitor in the game of appointments. Irene should give Richard and others a run for the prize.

Stay tuned here for the latest news!
